The Austofix F1 Nail is based on 25 years clinical history and Austofix’s experience in the design and manufacture of world-class and innovative trauma devices.
The design objective is to reduce operative times and support efficient and safe procedures resulting in improved patient outcomes. The F1 is the preferred treatment option for hip & midshaft femoral fractures.
F1 Short
- Universal Nail
- Suitable for Left or Right fractures
- 170mm & 190mm lengths
- Single lateral incision (170mm Nail)
F1 Long
- Left & Right Configurations
- 340mm – 460mm Length
- Ezy-Aim Compatible
- Constant AP Bend Angle assists in insertion and reduces impingement of the nail in the anterior femoral wall.
- Variable Radius Of Curvature (ROC) dependent on the length of the nail to better match the natural anatomy (Avg R1.3 – R1.45)
- Proximal transverse & static hole for simple shaft fixation

Bone Conservation Reamer

- Reduces bone tissue removal
- Improves stability of Hip Screw in osteoporotic bone

Minimally Invasive

- 2 incisions for average build patient
- Proximal incision for nail insertion
- Distal incision for Hip Screw and Distal Locking Screw
